Full Membership
The Full Membership (Vollmitgliedschaft) includes unlimited play and the right to use of all the facilities of the golf club. Therefore the playing and the use of the exercise facilities are without additional fees for the bearer of a Full Membership.

Advantages:
- Right to play on your home course. DGV card including handicap administration.
Disadvantages:
- Costs for membership are high
Prices:
- Between € 1,000.- and € 2,000.- annual fees for adults. (ballpark figures)
- High one-time admission fees of up to € 20,000.- (dependent on the golf club and the state it is in).
Target Customer:
- Golfers who want to play mostly on the same golf course.
- Golfers who like being in a club and the live around it.
Long Distance Membership
The Long Distance Membership (Fernmitgliedschaft) is a membership at a golf club with full right to use of all the facilities of the golf club. This type of membership is tied to specific conditions, like living more than 150km away from the golf club.
Examples:
- Our Fernmitgliedschaft agreement with the GC Waldegg-Wiggensbach.
Advantages:
- Relatively inexpensive.
- Right to play on your home course.
- DGV id card including handicap administration.
Disadvantages:
- Often playing at the home course is only possible during a vacation -150km is too far for just a round of golf.
Prices:
- Between € 300.- and € 600.- annual fees for adults. (ballpark figures)
Target Customer:
- Golfers who want to play on different golf courses.
- Golfers who like to spend their vacation near their golf club.
Guest Membership
The Guest Membership (Gastmitgliedschaft) is in comparison of all German membership types the most inexpensive one. It includes as well a DGV id card, which allows to play on (almost) all German and international golf courses. However, the right to use of the facilities of the golf club is limited.
Examples:
Advantages:
- Inexpensive.
- DGV id card including handicap administration.
Disadvantages:
- Playing at your home golf course only for green fees.
Prices:
- Between € 200.- and € 400.- annual fees for adults. (ballpark figures)
Target Customer:
- Golfers who don't play that often and thus don't get value out of a full membership.
Foreign Guest Membership
The Foreign Guest Membership (Auslandsmitgliedschaft) is principally the same as the Guest Membership, only it's signed up in a foreign country.
Examples:
Advantages:
- Very inexpensive.
Disadvantages:
- Playing at any golf course in Germany only for green fees.
- No DGV id card.
- No automated DGV intranet handicap administration - however foreign country's golf association might have that.
- Sometimes golf clubs do not accept Foreign Guest Memberships.
Prices:
- Between € 50.- and € 200.- annual fees for adults (ballpark figures and sometimes additional fees may apply).
Target Customer:
- Golfers who like to play on different courses and don't need the handicap administration through the DGV.
VcG
The VcG (Vereinigung clubfreier Golfer) is a membership without being member of a golf club and thus without the right to use of any golf club facilities. The VcG issues a so-called Greencard, which is accepted by many golf clubs, but not all of them.
Details:
Advantages:
- Inexpensive.
- Greencard including handicap administration.
Disadvantages:
- Playing at golf course accepting the Greencard only for green fees.
- No DGV id card.
- Platzreife must be done at the VcG.
- Sometimes green fees are higher for VcG members than for DGV members.
- Switching from a golf club to the VcG is only possible with a move.
Prices:
- Approximately € 200.- annual fees for adults.
Target Customer:
- Golfers who don't play that often and thus don't get value out of a full membership.
Bearers of a DGV or VcG id card are allowed to play handicap-relevant (vorgabenwirksame) tournaments. They have the guarantee that their results are forwarded to their home club and administered by it. With foreign golf clubs that cannot be guaranteed.
